fig. 119Rialto is a five-person holiday home at Parc de IJsselhoeve in Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, set along the river IJssel and bordered by Park Hitland, a natural area with an open, rural landscape. The park sits among scenic waterways, and the entrance is marked by the remains of old brick kilns that give the site a distinctive character.
On the park itself you will find a brasserie with snack bar, an outdoor swimming pool, bike rental, free WiFi, laundry facilities, sports fields, playgrounds, a dog play area for guests travelling with pets, and a charging point for electric cars. Cycling, walking, and horse-riding routes start right from the park and wind through some of the most attractive corners of the surrounding countryside.
The location puts you within easy reach of Rotterdam and other cities in the Randstad, so a day trip to the city is straightforward if you want to mix outdoor time with some urban sightseeing. When you return, the river and the natural area alongside it give you plenty of space to unwind.
This holiday home suits a group of up to five people who want a base that keeps nature close at hand while still having solid park facilities and good road connections. Whether you are planning active days on the bike or quieter time by the water, the surroundings and the park itself give you a reasonable range of options without having to travel far.
