Recreatielandgoed De IJsvogel is a holiday park on the edge of the Veluwe, situated at the Kieftveen near Voorthuizen between forest and heathland. The park offers a range of accommodations and on-site facilities suited to both couples and large groups.

The park has a broad range of units, from compact Tiny Wellness Cabins and Wellness Lodges for two people to group villas accommodating up to 22 guests. Many units come with private wellness features such as a jacuzzi or sauna, and several Villa Vogelveld variants are available in different configurations for four, six or eight people. At the larger end, De Herberg sleeps up to 20 guests and includes a private cinema and sauna, while the Vakantievilla options for 12 persons are also available in an extra accessible version.

The park has an indoor swimming pool open throughout the year, an outdoor pool in summer and a spraypark. For dining and leisure there is Restaurant De Gasterij, which includes four bowling lanes, along with a snackbar, lounge and minishop. Further amenities include a wellness and massage studio, adventure minigolf, a playground, a football cage, a fishing pond, electric vehicle charging points and bicycle hire. During part of the school holidays an animation team is active on site.

What to do around Voorthuizen

The Veluwe is one of the largest nature areas in the Netherlands, with extensive heathland, forest and sand drifts accessible from the park. Cycling and walking routes through the surrounding landscape start directly from the park.

Getting to De IJsvogel

Voorthuizen is a small village in the Gelderse Vallei, close to Barneveld and within reasonable distance of Amersfoort and Apeldoorn. The park is accessible by car via the A1 motorway.
