Holiday parks in Ouddorp
Ouddorp lies at the tip of Goeree-Overflakkee, between the North Sea and the Grevelingen lake. That position sets the tone: surf and wind on one side, calm water on the other.

The choice is split between villas near the beach, beach apartments and eco houses on the water of the Grevelingen. The largest houses sleep twenty-four, but most are for four or six. Not every park is by the sea: one of them stands on the inland side, by the lake.
The Brouwersdam connects the island to Schouwen-Duiveland and runs for a good six kilometres. Kitesurfers use the sea side, windsurfers mostly the Grevelingen side; the sailing and surfing centre halfway along the dam is the largest in the Netherlands. If you would rather stay dry, you can walk the beach as far as the Kwade Hoek, where dunes give way to mudflats.
The Goedereede lighthouse stands in the town of the same name and can be climbed. Near the Brouwersdam the A Seal sanctuary takes in stranded animals, later releasing them on the beaches of Ouddorp and Renesse. On the east side of the island lie the Slikken van Flakkee, a bird area.
Shoulder season suits water sports best: more wind and less crowding on the water. July and August are busy on the beach. Winter is quiet, and the island beaches are at their rawest.
