Module Special (6 persons)

Park Westerkogge in Noord-Holland is a waterside holiday park near the historic town of Hoorn and the Markermeer. Set among meadows and waterways that run through the grounds, the park has a calm, rural feel typical of the North Holland countryside. This listing is for a Module Special accommodation sleeping six people.

The park itself has a heated outdoor swimming pool, a launderette, playgrounds, and a football pitch. You can rent bikes and watersports equipment on site, including SUP boards, rowing boats, and pedal boats, making it straightforward to get out on the water without bringing your own gear. Fishing is also possible within the park. If you'd rather stay close to base, there is a bread roll delivery service and a BBQ service available, as well as free Wi-Fi throughout.

Hoorn is close by, worth a visit for its harbour, the Westfries Museum, and the traditional market on Rodesteen square. The Markermeer is one of the largest lakes in the Netherlands, popular for sailing, windsurfing, and cycling along its shores. The wider region is flat and well mapped for cycling, with routes connecting small polderland villages that see relatively few tourists compared to the more visited parts of North Holland.

This park suits families with children who want plenty to do without travelling far, as well as groups of six who want a quiet base with easy access to both the water and a historic town nearby.
