EuroParcs Marina Strandbad

EuroParcs Marina Strandbad is a holiday park on the banks of the IJssel, at the water known as Zwarte Schaar, in the village of Olburgen on the edge of the Veluwe region. The park combines waterfront access with proximity to several historic Hanseatic towns.

Accommodation at Marina Strandbad

The park offers chalets for two people, including the Modus Wellness 2, which is styled along the lines of a hotel room. This chalet features floor-to-ceiling windows across the full width of the building, an open kitchen with dishwasher, combination microwave, kettle and coffee maker, and a living area with seating and television. The bedroom has a double box-spring bed, and the bathroom includes a spacious shower and a sauna, with French doors from the living room opening onto a furnished terrace.

Facilities on the grounds

The park has a heated outdoor swimming pool, open from around mid-June to mid-September, as well as a sauna and fitness centre, a beach, playgrounds, a restaurant, and SUP and canoe hire. There is a large marina with a fuel station, and guests can bring their own boat or hire one on site. Fishing spots are available near the park.

What to do around Olburgen

The park sits along the cycling route of Nationaal Park Veluwezoom, and the area is connected to several other routes, including the 8 Kastelenroute. The nearby Hanseatic towns of Zutphen, Doesburg and Deventer offer historic town centres worth exploring on a day out. Bronkhorst, known as the smallest town in the Netherlands, is also in the area. From the marina, guests can head out onto the Zwarte Schaar by boat to explore the waterways and surrounding landscape.

The park is located near Zutphen, which is accessible by train from Arnhem and Apeldoorn. By car, the park is reachable via the A348 and surrounding regional roads.
