All three parks have a swimming pool and suit large groups. The choice runs from apartments for two people to houses sleeping thirty-two, the largest you will find on the Veluwe. Most houses are for four or six. Two of the three parks have wellness facilities.
The Loenense Waterval lies east of the village and is the highest waterfall in the Netherlands, though strictly speaking it is a cascade dug by hand rather than a natural fall. At the sheepfold in Loenen a flock of Veluwe heath sheep grazes, setting off for the heath each morning and returning in the afternoon. To the south lies the Deelerwoud, one of the quietest parts of the Veluwe.
Het Loo Palace is on the far side of Apeldoorn and was the residence of the royal family for centuries. The same city has the Apenheul primate park and the Julianatoren. Near Loenen the De Middelste Molen paper mill still makes paper the old way, and Beekbergen itself has a private war museum.
The Veluwe works all year, but August brings the heather into colour and September the deer rut. Spring is quiet and the woods come into leaf. In July and August the village holds a market every Thursday evening with old crafts on show.
Parkzie compares holiday parks in the Netherlands and is run by Mave Media in Marum. Park data comes straight from the providers' feeds and is refreshed daily. The texts are written by hand.
You book with the provider directly, with no booking fees. If something is wrong or a park is missing, let us know.
