fig. 991This holiday home sits within the Court of Sealand (Hof van Zeeland) park, set among green surroundings close to the village of Heinkenszand on South Beveland. The Orchis Comfort house sleeps six and suits larger groups looking for space and comfort in a quiet, inland setting.
The park itself has a heated outdoor swimming area with three pools, a 40-metre slide and a separate toddler pool. As a park guest you also get free access to the subtropical swimming pool in Goes. There is an outdoor bowling lane on site, and the reception stocks basic supplies. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout.
Brasserie Stelleplas sits within the park beside a 10-hectare freshwater lake called Stelleplas. You can fish for carp, bream, perch, roach and eel - fishing permits are available at reception. Some bungalows sit directly on the water so you can fish from your own garden, though you would need to confirm whether this applies to the Orchis unit specifically. The North Sea beaches are around 20 minutes by car.
The surrounding area has plenty to see. Historic towns like Goes, Middelburg, Zierikzee and Vlissingen are all within reach, along with the old fishing village of Yerseke, the coastal town of Domburg and the picturesque Veere. Because the park is away from the busier coastal strips, it stays noticeably quieter.
This suits families or groups of up to six who want park facilities without being in the middle of a busy resort.
