Houseboat Campi Uitgeest (4 persons)

This houseboat in Noord-Holland sits on the outermost jetty of Jachthaven Uitgeest, a marina on the edge of the Uitgeestermeer. It sleeps four and gives you a direct connection to the water in every sense - you fall asleep as the boat gently moves with the lake and wake up to a wide panoramic view across the water. The setting is calm and open, with nature close at hand and the marina providing a sheltered base.

The location works well for day trips. Amsterdam is around 25 minutes away, so you can spend a morning in the city and be back on the water by the afternoon. Closer to home, the Uitgeestermeer and the surrounding area have walking paths that let you get out into the Dutch landscape at a relaxed pace. The terrace on the houseboat is a good spot to sit in the evenings and watch the lake settle into stillness as the light fades.

The boat itself is described as modern, with comfort built into the design rather than bolted on. You get the feel of waterside living without giving up the basics you would expect from a well-kept holiday accommodation. There are no specific listed facilities beyond what the boat itself has to give, so it is worth checking the listing details before you book if particular amenities matter to you.

This suits couples or small families who want quiet surroundings, easy water access, and the option of a city nearby without being based in one.
