Kampeerdorp de Zandstuve

Kampeerdorp de Zandstuve is een vijfsterren kindercamping in Rheeze, een dorp bij Hardenberg in het Overijsselse Vechtdal. Het park richt zich volledig op gezinnen met jonge kinderen en ligt aan de rand van het bos.

Accommodations at De Zandstuve

The park offers a wide range of accommodation for groups of two to twelve people, from basic touring caravans and tunnel tents to fully equipped lodges and chalets. The lodge range includes the Rheezerlodge, Vechtdallodge, Boslodge, Avonturenlodge and Stuuflodge, several available in standard and DeLuxe versions, as well as various chalets with or without a veranda. At the top end, the Familiehuis Rheeze and Familiehuis de Rheezermaten each come with a Jacuzzi and sleep ten and twelve people respectively, while Kasteel Uylenburght accommodates ten guests.

Facilities on the Grounds

The main draw is the subtropical indoor swimming pool, which includes a fifty-metre waterslide called the Crazy Cone, a separate toddler and young children's pool, and a heated outdoor pool with water play equipment and additional slides. Away from the water, the park has the covered indoor playground Cobus Speelkasteel, the Chilz Playroom with game tables for older children, several outdoor playgrounds, a sports pitch and a pizza restaurant. During school holidays, an animation team organises activities for children.

What to Do around Rheeze and Hardenberg

The surrounding Vechtdal landscape offers walking and cycling routes through forests and along the River Vecht, which runs close to the park. The nature reserve De Rheezermaten, a wetland area, lies in the immediate vicinity and is well suited to quiet walks and birdwatching. The recreational lake De Oldemeijer provides additional options for swimming and outdoor activities in the warmer months. The town of Hardenberg is reachable by bicycle and has shops, a market and further facilities.

Getting There

Hardenberg is the nearest town of any size, situated in the northeast of the province of Overijssel. The region is accessible by car via the A28 motorway and by train to Hardenberg station.

Who the Park Suits

Kampeerdorp de Zandstuve is suited to families with young children, given its child-focused facilities, animation programme and the wide choice of accommodations for larger family groups. Couples or adults travelling without children are less likely to find it a comfortable fit.
