The park sits among scenic waterways, and at the entrance you can see the remains of old brick kilns, which give the site a distinct historical character. Rotterdam and other cities in the Randstad are within easy reach, making this a practical base if you want to combine time in nature with a day in the city.
The park has a brasserie with snack bar, an outdoor swimming pool, bicycle hire, and free WiFi. There are also laundry facilities, sports fields, playgrounds, a dog run for guests travelling with pets, and a charging point for electric vehicles. Cycling, walking, and horse-riding routes start from the park and lead through some of the quieter corners of the Netherlands.
The surroundings are well suited to time on or near the water, and the flat, open landscape makes cycling straightforward for most ages and fitness levels. Park Hitland next door adds extra space to walk or simply sit in the open air without going far.
